Last May, Gaetano Anello from TUE had the opportunity to present part of his work within the Bio-MeGaFuel Project on membrane reactor modeling for methanol production at the International Symposium on Chemical Reaction Engineering and the Asian Pacific Chemical Reaction Engineering Conference (ISCRE29 & APCRE11) in Seoul, South Korea.

The conference once again brought together researchers and industry professionals from around the world to exchange ideas and discuss recent developments, emerging opportunities, and future challenges in chemical reaction engineering.
The event provided a valuable platform to share our research and engage with experts in reaction engineering, catalysis, and process intensification. The insightful discussions and feedback received during the conference will help guide the future development of this work.
The scientific program also featured inspiring plenary lectures by Professor Dion Vlachos, who discussed electrified and high-temperature thermocatalytic reactor technologies, and Professor Kevin Van Geem, who addressed the transition from fossil-based feedstocks to renewable carbon sources and the rethinking of the petrochemical value chain. Their presentations offered valuable perspectives on the future of chemical reaction engineering and sustainable process development.
